Kolbrún Harpa Matthildardóttir fæddist á Blönduósi 9. nóvember 1956. Hún lést á Sjúkrahúsi Akraness 6. mars 2012. Kolbrún ólst upp á Blönduósi, flutti síðan til Vestmannaeyja þar sem hún vann í fiskvinnslu í nokkur ár, þaðan flutti hún til Reykjavíkur en síðustu árin bjó hún á Akranesi.
Útför Kolbrúnar fer fram frá Akraneskirkju í dag, 14. mars 2012, og hefst athöfnin kl. 14.
